Description
This naturally occurring rock is the end product of volcanic activity. One of lava rock’s characteristics is that it holds moisture; meaning that it helps garden beds retain water. Lava rock does not have the same kind of tendency of breaking down, like bark mulches, and therefore involves less maintenance/labour. Lava rock also reduces the likelihood of weeds.
The size range of the Black Lava Rock is approximately 3/4″ -1″
Please note that due to this being a natural product, there may be some variations in colour; meaning you may come across some rocks that have a little reddish hue to them.
